Ground Labourer Wanted!

Our client supplies high quality surfacing solutions for a wide range of Australian road and construction projects - from local streets to highly complex infrastructure including freeways, highways and airport runways. The Boral Asphalt business includes asphalt manufacturing sites, ‘spray seal’ depots, and an asphalt contracting service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting the spray seal ground crew with general labour and operational tasks.
  
• Sweeping and clearing debris or loose material from the base surface prior to asphalt application.
  
• Spreading and raking asphalt to ensure even distribution, particularly in areas where machinery cannot reach.
  
• Rolling asphalt and supporting the ground crew during spray seal operations.
  
• Operating various types of rollers, including steel drum rollers.
  
• Shovelling and spreading asphalt as it is laid down by the spray team.
  
• Performing rake work, clearing rubble, and operating multiple types of mobile plant such as rollers and bobcats, with opportunities for further upskilling.
  

Availability:

• Able to work Monday to Sunday, including nights as required.
  
• Available for both metropolitan and regional projects.
  

Requirement:

• A Roller Operation ticket — if you have experience with big machinery
  
• A valid HR Licence
  
• Tractor boom experience — if you’ve ever worked with farm or civil machinery
  
• Civil plant or infrastructure experience — any hands-on background with machinery, worksites, or construction
